Information

Travel just a short distance from the town and you will get a magical view: the bell towers of the two churches stand out above the trees, which paint the canvas an intense green in spring and summer, display an explosion of color in autumn and accompany the smoke from the chimneys and the sparkling snow in winter. The lovely town center of Artíes is as worthy of a visit as its views from a distance. It has all the charm of a mountain village:  houses with sloped roofs and cobbled side streets that lead to bars and restaurants with a lively atmosphere.

The Arán Valley is one of the first Catalan locations to receive the Sports Tourism Destination seal. In addition to snow sports, you won't want to miss the hiking trails that invite you to discover woods, streams, alpine flowers such as orchids and the large-flowered butterwort (as beautiful as they are difficult to find), and lovely waterfalls with a deep, relaxing sound. In addition to hiking, other options include driving routes, mountain biking and a wide variety of active tourism activities, including horseback riding routes, climbing, rafting, riverboarding, rapids and pitch & putt.

The landscape features woods, snowy peaks in winter and fresh green in summer, offering one-of-a-kind experiences and making it easy to achieve a sense of wellbeing. There are many reasons to come, and even more to return.

* A complimentary bus service to the ski slopes will be provided December 22–January 5 (inclusive). Space is limited. Please ask in reception for schedule information.

The restaurant is located on the ground floor, between Hostería Don Gaspar de Portola and the main entrance to the Parador. It features a large stained glass window and huge windows offer fantastic views of the Bagerque Mountains and the incomparable presence of Mount Montardo, the emblematic peak of Naut Aran.

During the months of February–July, lunch is served in the new La Chimenea dining area, the ideal spot to sample the delights of Catalan cuisine. Dishes to share, salads, pasta, regional dishes, combination plates, bruschetta-style appetizers and a children's menu.

NovaMás TAPAS & COCKTAIL BAR

The Parador's latest feature is NovaMás, a modern cocktail bar. At this après ski meeting place with a view of Mount Montardo, guests can enjoy a drink and sample fantastic small plates at unbeatable prices.

NovaMás offers a select variety of tapas prepared using the best local ingredients. Traditional regional bite-sized portions include a selection of charcuterie from the valley. In addition to these bite-sized portions, visitors can sample a variety of soups, casseroles and stews. One original aspect of NovaMás is that everything is served as individual portions, offered at very enticing prices, no more than €3. For dessert, diners can make a selection from the cart of homemade cakes, allowing you to add just the sweet finish to the evening to suit your taste.

The Parador has taken special care in designing the beverage menu, creating a beautifully prepared selection of gin & tonics, cocktails and mixed drinks. A fireplace lounge,  premium gin & tonic bar, cocktail bar with pool table and spectacular views of the Catalan Pyrenees are just a few of the details that make NovaMás a must for anyone who visits the valley.
